Changes

Well it's official.  We are moving!  Our house is on the market as of Monday!  We found a really cute house that we like a lot, only problem is this one needs to sell first!  We are kind of feeling bittersweet about the whole thing.  We love our house!  We were so incredibly blessed to be able to get it in the first place, and now here we are CHOOSING to leave less than 2 year later.  Why?  Well because we had a baby!
When we bought this house, we were not planning to have a baby for several years.  So, it didn't matter that it sits right on a busy main road, or that there is hardly any backyard, or that the nursery would have to be upstairs.  We fell in love with this house the first time we saw it, and just took the plunge right away.  About a year later, God proved once again that He makes the plans, and just laughs at all of ours! :)  So, we are trying to move our sweet little surprise to a safe neighborhood in a better school district, where she can ride a bike outside or play with the dogs in the back yard!  Please keep us in your prayers at this time as we try to get our house sold quickly!  I've been running around here like a mad woman trying to get everything in order and looking it's best!  Ben pressure washed the entire house on Sunday! (So much for resting on Sunday.)
In other news...my parents will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary on September 1st!  I'm so excited for them!  25th anniversaries are not quite as common as they once were, so I'm proud to be in a family that has stuck together for so long!  (and is still going strong!)
Well, I've got a ton of cleaning and organizing to do today!  (Is it weird that I enjoy this type of day?)  Here's hoping the baby will cooperate and allow me to get stuff done!  Yesterday she helped me do laundry! (ok, well she sat under the pile of warm clothes from the dryer and giggled while I folded them!)  I'll be checking back in soon!  If anyone would like to buy our lovely home, please come along!

Well tomorrow we move Katie (my sister in law) into her dorm at Presbyterian College!  I am so excited for her and I'm really looking forward to seeing the campus since I've never been to PC!  It makes me miss college!  I always loved the beginning of a new school year! It should be a good day.  Ben is taking the day off to go with us, so Audrey Grace will just be smiley all day having her daddy home!  It's so cute how she lights up when she sees him now!  Just melts my heart!
Things are going well for us right now!  I am trying to find people that would like me to scrapbook for them...so if anyone who is reading this knows someone who needs some done, please send them my way!  That would be my dream job!  Making money doing something I love and getting to be home with my baby!
Today will just be a pretty normal day.  Of course I'll be doing laundry (the story of my life) and picking up around the house.  I have to go to Time Warner Cable to return a cable box, which I am REALLY dreading.  I hate dealing with those people!
Ben is starting to get really excited for football season.  I usually get excited, but this year I have a baby and I'm actually a little sad that I won't get to be with her during the games. Apparently she has to have a ticket to get in, which I think is just absolutely rediculous!  So, looks like she will be staying home with my mom and dad while we are at the games.  I might skip a couple this year to stay with her though.  I just miss her so much when we are apart since I am always with her!  I think my  separation anxiety is worse than hers!
Well, not too much to update right now!  I'll check back in this weekend!

Hilton Head trip!

Well we are back from our little trip to Hilton Head!  We had a great time and it was nice to be able to celebrate my cousin's 11th birthday with her!   The baby did great on the trip there, but was pretty fussy on the way home.  Thank goodness my mom and dad were in the back seat with her to keep her entertained!  Audrey Grace LOVED the birthday party!  She was dancing to the music and had fun playing with everyone!  She even got to taste a cupcake! (just the icing!)
It was Ben's first time in Hilton Head, so we wanted to show him where I grew up and we even went to my favorite playground as a kid!  It was so neat to see it now!  It is so much smaller than I remember!  Still just as beautiful though!  Audrey Grace got to swing for the first time in a big kid swing too!  We walked around Harbour Town and Ben LOVED seeing all the million dollar boats!  They are definitely impressive!
Before we left for Hilton Head, we had dinner at a friends house and had a great time!  Since we have had the same group of friends for so many years, we just started calling them "family dinners."  Audrey Grace got to go and we enjoyed a great spaghetti dinner and had fun learning to play ladder ball!  The baby even showed off her newest trick that we call the "bear crawl!"  She doesn't like to crawl on her hands and knees, so she just stays flat footed and puts her hands out in front of her!  We are so blessed to have friends that actually enjoy when we bring the baby to these events, and have just welcomed her right into our little "friend family."  Next time dinner will be at our house, so I've got to come up with something that is easy to serve to 6-10 people!
Well, it's feeding time...hope everyone is having a great week!  Here's a few pictures from family dinner night and our trip!

What's new!

Well clearly I did not think about how difficult it might be to keep up with a blog with a 5 month old!  I'm going to try to do better!  We've been good, still trying to shake this little cold/flu bug we had.  I feel better, but Ben is headed to the doctor today.
Audrey Grace had a well check up on Monday, and everything went great!  I'm a little confused though.  Typically you have a well check up at 1, 2, 4, and 6 months.  Her 1 month appt. was on the actual day she turned 1 month.  Then her 2 month appt. was scheduled about 3 weeks after she turned 2 months because of the doctor's schedule, and they said it was no big deal for her to be exactly 2 months.  Her 4 month appt. was scheduled for the end of July, but then we couldn't go because we were sick.  Soooo, now she just went to her "4 month appt." but she will be 6 months next week!  I told the doctor she was way past 4 months, but she said they still call it her 4 month check up in their records.  That would be fine except for the fact that they are comparing her with other 4 month olds around the country, so they told me she is in the 95 percentile for weight!  Well DUH!!!  That's because she is 6 months!!  She weighs 18lbs. and is a little over 25 inches long.  As far as I'm concerned, she is growing perfectly, and looks normal to me!  The doctor said to bring her back in 2 months for her 6 month check up, and I just laughed and said, "Ok...she'll be 8 months by then!"  Whatever!
So aside from doctor visits, look at her new trick!!!

She can't balance for long, but I'm still so proud of her!  I swear this child is just trying to skip crawling all together!  She just doesn't show much interest in crawling, but stand her up and she is ready to take off!  Either way, I'm picturing a lot of baby chasing in my near future!
Ben and I took her to the mall for the first time and took her on the carousel!  She loved it and held on tight the whole time!  She also enjoyed making her mom flip out by licking the pole that you hang on to!! YUCK!

Well I hope everyone is doing well!  We are headed to Hilton Head this weekend for my cousin's birthday, so I will try to write before we leave on Friday!  Have a great week! :)
